Dietary Interns Landing Page

The Educational Partnerships Program (EPP) is a statewide program that provides opportunities for health care trainees and various types of learners to do rotations in a correctional setting. EPP collaborates with dozens of Educational Partners to offer rare access and insight into providing health care for California’s justice-involved population.

As students within dietary/nutrition programs look toward the future, there are many important decisions to be made that will directly affect how and where their skills will be best utilized. With a mission based upon the delivery of evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy, California Correctional Health Care Services’ (CCHCS’) dietary/nutrition professionals play a key role in the overall health and well-being of our patients. Whether developing therapeutic diets, providing clinical consultations, or assisting in patient education, dietitians in training within this field hone their skill sets and discover professional opportunities within an established correctional health system.

Educational Partners
• California State University, Fresno
• California State University, Long Beach
• Loma Linda University
• Napa State Hospital
