The Educational Partnerships Program (EPP) is a statewide program that provides opportunities for health care trainees and various types of learners to do rotations in a correctional setting. EPP collaborates with dozens of Educational Partners to offer rare access and insight into providing health care for California’s justice-involved population.
Future pharmacists have many important decisions to make related to how and where they will practice – and our learning opportunities are designed to provide experiences to assist pharmacy students as they find their footing in this important field. California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) pharmacists provide essential services to our medical, dental, and mental health teams through delivering pharmaceutical care within our Central Pharmacy Services or at an institution. Pharmacy students will be immersed in CCHCS’ Pharmacy Services program, including a robust medication and distribution system supporting both inpatient and outpatient settings.
